ICDD Workshop on X-ray Diffraction: Fundamentals, Training and Software Analysis on December 4–5, 2026 at IIT Hyderabad.
The Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, IIT Hyderabad, in collaboration with the American Ceramic Society (ACerS) Southwest India Chapter and the Indian Ceramic Society (InCerS), Hyderabad Chapter, is organizing a ICDD Workshop on X-ray Diffraction: Fundamentals, Training and Software Analysis on 4–5 December 2026 at IIT Hyderabad.
The Workshop aims to provide comprehensive training in powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), combining expert lectures with hands-on sessions covering diffraction fundamentals, data collection, phase identification, quantitative phase analysis, and structural analysis using the ICDD PDF-5+® database and MDI JADE Pro® software.
The programme is intended for Postgraduate Students, Research Scholars, Faculty members and Industry Professionals working in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Ceramics, Nanotechnology, Geology, Pharmaceuticals, and related disciplines. Participants will gain practical experience in XRD data analysis through hands-on sessions, with access to the required software provided via a remote desktop server. Additionally, demo versions of all the software will be provided to participants with a validity period of one month for further practice and learning.
