Professor N. V. Ravi Kumar, Professor, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering & Professor In charge, Central XRD Laboratory, Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, Chennai and Life Member from South zone of InCerS has received the most prestigious award –‘GLOBAL STAR AWARD’ from The Engineering Ceramics Division of The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) on 27.01.2025 in 49th ICEACC, Daytona Beach, Florida, USA.

Professor Manisha Vidyavathy, Professor and Head, Department of Ceramic Technology, Anna University, Chennai and Life Member from South zone of InCerS has received the most prestigious award - "2025 ECD Jubilee Global Diversity Award" from The American Ceramic Society (ACerS). She has also delivered a technical talk at the 49th International Conference on Advanced Ceramics & Composites, held at Hotel Hilton, Daytona Beach, Florida, USA on 27.01.2025.

This is to inform you that the Flooring, Wall Finishing and Roofing Sectional Committee, CED 5 of BIS, has decided in its last meeting held on 11 June 2024 to send a strong delegation from India to participate in 32nd meeting of ISO/TC 189 ‘Ceramic Tiles’ and its Working Groups to be held on 21-23 November 2024 at Ilhavo, Portugal.
It gives me an immense pleasure to inform you that Honorable President of InCerS, Mr Sudipta Saha, President, Tile Operations & Business Head Industrial Products, Prism Johnson Limited, H&R Johnson (India) Division, Maharashtra has been nominated as 'Leader of the Indian Delegation of Bureau of Indian Standard Team' for ISO TC 189 Conference for 'Ceramic Tiles & Building Materials' at Ilhavo, Portugal.

Our very close and beloved Honorary Secretary of the Indian Ceramic Society, Dr Sitendu Mandal has been conferred the PhD degree, during the 14th Convocation of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur by Professor (Dr.) Goutam Sutradhar, Director of NIT Jamshedpur on 9th November 2024 at 11.00 am.
Dr Mandal is Chief Scientist and Head, Specialty Glass Division (SGD), CSIR-CGCRI, Kolkata and life member of the Society from East zone.
